    How TO Disable ‘Connectivity Checking’ on Kubuntu for Public Wifi/Captive Portals

    Hello,

    I have a problem with activating wifi in hotels etc with a captivity portal. It seems that I should disable 'connectivity checking', according to this website (https://vitux.com/disable-connectivi...ptive-portals/)

    However, in Kubuntu I do not see this option.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance and have a GREAT day.

    It seems that KDE does not appear to have this option in its network settings, so using the command line editor as described in your link will need to be used.
    Just do exactly what it says. It is actually quite simple.
    You may have to add both lines shown in the example:

    Code:
    [connectivity]
    .set.enabled=false
