Building from.source, as I had been doing for a very long time, started to break for me in both x11 and Wayland, with Intel and AMD graphics, around plasma 5.26, on multiple systems. Well, the 2 that I used. The main bug was panels/docks always on top, covering windows.

I still check it, just in case.
Yes, please do - I am curious.

And concerning Latte Dock from openSUSE : I have no idea what they do, their version is listed with 0.11.something…

I never had this "covering" bug (also not in Kubuntu 22.04 with Plasma 5.24 or Debian 12 with Plasma 5.27 or Debian 11 with backported Plasma 5.24 before - but I have read about it somewhere), everthing is working as intended (AMD iGPU now and Nvidia GPU before)…

Which is a git pull from 2022, there hasn't been an 11.x release. Kubuntu and neon only use official releases.

lol probably on reddit or elsewhere, with possible comments on it from yours truly

to the OP, I do think it may be worth testing not using Latte, as a test to see if it may be the culprit. And more info or images of what those message popups are saying.
