In your initial post - include the involved hardware info and software versions, but also review your logs files for useful info. Just about everything generates log messages and they're saved for quite a while. An easy and quick way to gain access to your logs is to install and use "ksystemlog".
Installing it will put an icon in your Kmenu under "System". All you have to do is launch it, enter your sudo password, and several of your primary log files are there for you to read or copy-n-paste to a post.
