So I switched to Kubuntu17.04 last year and just got around to installing Quake3.
I am not able to get it to run.
I get this error when I try to run it...
Required data files are missing.
Please use game-data-packager to build and install the data packages for Quake 3 Arena.
I first went to apps and installed Quake3 and ran it. It asked to install the baseq3 folder under .q3a.
So I copied a baseq3 from my Ubuntu netbook and put them under .q3a.
Then I found out I needed to install the game-data-package so I installed that.
So I think maybe this install was done out of sequence?
Or I have a path problem, my .q3a is under my "home" folder, which I am not 100% sure where that should be?
Thanks Alan
