I have just updated to 17.04 fro 16.04 (a clean reinstall) and Amarok will not play mp3's or wma's. I had this issue with 16.04, but managed to fix the problem, but cant remember how. I have updated everything and searched the web for solutions, but none specific to version 17.04.
So far I have tried
Updating Kubuntu and Amarok
Installing ffmpeg (and failing as it no longer exists, apparently)
I have tried VLC, but don't like the interface at all, I understand why Amarok does not ship with codecs, but how come VLC, also being free, comes with just about every codec one needs?
