    Doing EOL Upgrade ... need help.

    im looking for a changelog like this, for Kubuntu:

    Need to download Kubuntu Upgrade Tool, to do EOL upgrade to Kubuntu Not Ubuntu.

    the other method is burning the .iso and boot from USB.
    im told i need to do small steps upgrade, Not jump to latest LTS.


    Groovy Gorilla Version: 20.10
    to
    Hirsute Hippo Version: 21.04
    to
    Impish Indri Version: 21.10

    i can stay there, its
    Supported: 1

    but is Not LTS, to avoid EOL upgrades is better to install LTS

    Jammy Jellyfish Version: 22.04 LTS

    As Kubuntu = Ubuntu , the help.ubuntu.com page provides the correct instructions, though they are probably have more steps than what you need to use.
    The Dist and the Version will be the exact same as Ubuntu.

    What Kubuntu version are you using currently?
    Depending on how old your version is, you may have multiple upgrades to perform, and it may be MUCH easier/safer to do a clean install.

        preparing for Step-3 & 4

        $ mkdir upgrader
        $ tar -xaf impish.tar.gz -C upgrader
        $ cd upgrader
        $ ls
        $ sudo ./impish

        FAIL
        same
        proftpd-core

        Kernel Panic at reboot

        still on 21.04
        doing Apt update.... 2GB

          Should for some reason your upgrade be delayed, and you find that the 20.10 repositories have been archived to old-releases.ubuntu.com, instructions to perform a EOL Upgrade can be found on the Ubuntu wiki [3].
          The 21.04 archive has not been moved to old-releases.ubuntu.com yet.

          So try the normal upgrade procedure

          If that command does not work, you can try substituting the "-m" with "-d".




          The tools you downloaded are for attempting to upgrade an unsupported situation -- really old releases, and attempting to skip releases, which give the error message shown on the EOL page
