SO, I'm trying to set up an old laptop for a friend who wants to try Linux, but I have run into trouble with the BIOS, normally I see the individual drives listed in the boot options.
But on this Compaq cq58 it only lists "OS Boot Manager" (sorry for the bad photos!)
I have Windows 10 on HDD and Ubuntu on an SSD, set up like this:
Ubuntu
Windows
Now I can it the Delete key on boot and follow this menu to the OS Boot Manger
But from within the boot manager, I can't change the boot order:
And would ideally like it to be set up so the laptop boots Linux first and then pick the OS from Grub, rather than having to press delete, then F9, then down arrow, and enter to get into Linux......is anyone able to help out with this?
If I take the Windows drive out it will boot straight to Ubuntu, but with the Windows drive in it always defers to that as the boot drive.
