how to create wifi hotspot in 17.04?

answers elsewhere all say select hotspot button but in Kubuntu 17.04 there isn't one that i can see. step by step guide please! it used to work in Xubuntu 14.04...

steps followed: Application Launcher - System Settings - Connections - + - WiFi (Shared) - Create - Mode= AdHoc - etc

The normal wifi mode is "infrastructure". Isn't "hotspot" really "AP" (Access Point)?
