    File too big to delete.

    Hi gang:

I keep having problems being a new guy for this long a time. I am trying to delete a file that is 158 GB in size. It is a failed backup set. I get a dolphin error across the top of the window in red. "File too big to delete.". Is there a way to smash this up, or use the command line utility to do a forced delete?

Click to highlight the file. Press Shift+Del keys. You will be prompted with the are you sure messaage, just click yes.

This deletes the file immediately, bypassing the Trash bin.

Might be time to clear out your trash too.

Also note that the Trash has settings that configure how large it can be before it is full - right click on it on the Dolphin sidebar. Though 158 Gb is quite large, and probably not worth sending to the Trash. Then, shift-deleting it is the best way

"Delete" does not equal "move to trash". Just delete it.
