Kubuntu 20.04 - WiFi randomly disconnects after pairing BT Mouse (5.0)

    Hi there,

I am a Kubuntu-user for more than one year now and am currently living at my parents place, as my flat mates were quarantined when I was on vacation.
When I return to my place, I plan to ditch Windows and go full-time Kubuntu user (gaming worked fine last I tried and citavi, the only thing keeping me at windows for my PhD, has a web version now! )

    my problem is the following:
I have a no-name BT Multi-device Mouse (with dongle, BT3, and BT5) that I had connected via BT3 to my Lenovo L14 1.Gen from last year, specs follow later.
I connected it via BT5, just for figuring out what the differences were but BT5 wasn't working properly, BT-connection cut off and lagged a lot, so I switched back to BT3.
However, what else I realised: After connecting it via BT5 to the computer, I started experiencing seemingly random WiFi disconnects, which I, at first, attributed to poor WiFi-connection in the room, so I changed location and went directly to the router. As I was sitting 30cms away from the router, the disconnects didn't stop. So I changed WiFi-channels, etc. - To no avail.

Now I have my multi-device Mouse connected via BT3 and random WiFi-connection losses.
If any of you know a fix for the BT5-lag issue and the WiFi-connection losses I'd happily try them out. The priority, clearly, is the WiFi-issue, since I am working from here, for another 2-3 weeks and conference calls really suck when you are reconnecting your WiFi every n seconds...

I am a user more or less, so I didn't make any kernel changes. I just sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade regularly and play around with themes, when I am procrastinating my work :-D

How are you "switching" from Bluetooth 3.0 to Bluetooth 5.0? Though this is likely unrelated.
Have you tried making sure your wifi is connected using 5ghz instead of 2.4 (interference between Bt and 2,4 wifi)? Rebooted, toggled the wifi off and on via the keyboard function keys\ (NOT the tray applet)?

Hi, Thanks for your reply :-)

The mouse has a hardware switch and I paired both BT3.0 and BT5.0.
      I think the WiFi-router here doesn't support 5Ghz It's a really old TP-Link.

But it kinda seems working for now. The Laptop was hybernating for 6 hours ...
