Disk Partition

Hi,

I'm trying to install the last kubuntu.

The installer does not detect my disk
partitions and only propose to
format the entire disk.

What's the solution?

PS: Kanotix and others detect my partitions without problem.

Hi,

You should try to install from the alternate cd, usually it has less buggy partitionner tool

I have had trouble recently using various distros's tools for partitioning (ubuntu, kubuntu, and zenwalk). So now I use the gparted livecd. After using gparted (get from distrowatch) to partition my drives, I install the distro (with no need to partition). It seems to work for me.
