        Hi Domino,

        I had the same issue as you with new installs.

        Disable screensaver : applications > settings > screensaver.

        Open synaptic package manager and type light-locker.

        Leave the app set like this and this should solve your problem.

          I'm having this issue also. I cannot view the light-locker.png (above). I've tried setting light-locker to its highest setting. Not sure if that will solve problem. It's impossible to read articles online when screen keeps turning off every 3 minutes.

            This is 'dated', but that's why I asked about how old your laptop is. And, it's on a Windows installation, but it deals with the screen going blank after a very short time, just like you are experiencing.

            The 'solution' was with either or both, a BIOS update and the Intel Video Graphics Driver.
