I don't want to change my user name, I want to change the name I set when I first installed Kubuntu. The first line asks for "your name", then later it asks for a user name. Can the "your name" be changed without screwing up the installation from say Larry to Charles?

Open SytemSettings (systemsettings5), go to "Account Details", then User Manager, and change your "Real Name", then click apply.
(The password is empty but applying after changing your "Real Name" won't change it."A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”
