When I first open Kubuntu 16.04 LTS, it seems faster than my 14.04 LTS version. But after a few hours, when I click on the Kmenu Icon to search for an application, it opens so slowly that many times I click again thinking I must not have clicked firmly enough the first time. Several seconds delay.
I don't remember to check the next anomaly when in 14.04 LTS, so I am not sure this next issue is there also, but I watch Netflix on my comuter sometimes. I have an on screen Network Monitor that reveals up and download speeds, and when I am watching, and the problem appears, I can see that the signal is coming spaced with no signal in between the sent signals.
When viewing Netflix, audio comes without interruptions, but the video signal is jerky, starting and stopping in a pattern that appears in the Network Monitor.
I have considered this something Netflix does to save bandwidth because sound syncs perfectly, but I have a fast computer and lots of memory, so the slow down I experience in Kubuntu 16.04 LTS is my prospect for delay problems, especially because the delays are not present when I am using Kubuntu 14.04 LTS.
I also have a lot of plasma problems with widgets, too many to list. Are there others out there with similar problems or should I be scrutinizing my hardware? Thanks for any reply.
