alt-text is black on dark gray

I'm running plasmazilla on 14.04. When I mouse-hover on an image that has alt-text, the alt-text is displayed as black on dark gray. (or something like that) So the alt-text is very difficult to read.

How do I change the color scheme of alt-text?
    I run Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.

    Try this:
Applications -> Settings -> System Settings-> Color -> Application Color Scheme
You have options for all colour settings. You may have to restart your app., or some applications need restart of system. I had problem with Gimp, Tool Tips which was displaying light grey letters on white background. Hope this helps.

Thanks! Unfortunately, though, I got the following error message. (screenshot here)

The measuring instrument is not detected. Please check it is turned on and correctly connected.
I don't know how to interpret that message.

      Thanks again.
      I run Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.

It is your color scheme in System Settings' theme sections, not color correction. There are a few post on this, many fix it by switching to a different gtk3 theme from the stock "oxygen gtk" which the new Firefox does not like at all.

Ahh, gotcha! Yes, I was just able to rectify it. Thank you.

if anyone else stumbles on this thread and has the same problem, here's a step-by-step of what to do:

          1. system settings
          2. application appearance
          3. GTK tab
          4. select different options under GTK2 theme and GTK3 theme

claydoh, has the kangaroo made off with your fixie?
          I run Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.

                  lol

Well, yes. Although I meant that a pogo stick is something that a kangaroo could steal from you.

                    claydoh,

Thanks for correct guidance. I had problem with Gimp and I was able to correct it in the method I mentioned above. I have been very busy and have not logged in to the forum earlier. Hope I did not misguide rybnik.
