We can't seem to find the setting to turn off the left-side pop-out panel when using alt-tab application switching. It is unnecessary and annoying. Please advise if you can.

its an animation for task switching ..
if you look in System Settings -> window management -> task switching . you can change the animation to another or remove the animation entirely use the combo box in the visualization area.Mark Your Solved Issues [SOLVED]
