Hi!
I have a headless mini-itx server running Kubuntu and kde5 to serve as backup machine and running some services for the home network. I recently updated from the 14.04 LTS to 16.04 LTS and noticed that both Xming and TightVNC stopped working. Xming just crashes during connect and TightVNC shows that kded5, kdeinit5 and KCMInit closed unexpectedly. I've been trying to find alternatives since I do need the remote connection from time to time. I've managed to get X11vnc to work as long as I have the server connected to a display (TV), but with headless setup that solution fails as well.
Is there a way to get either Xming or any VNC connection to work with KDE5?
Thanks!
Server hardware:
Asus P8H77-i Mini-itx motherboard
Intel G1610 processor with integrated graphics
8 GB memory
