Connecting with Kopete

How do you sign in with Kopete?

The only way I seem to be able to do this is to delete my MSN account settings and recreate and it asks for my password to log onto MSN.

Next time I log into Kubuntu Kopete is not connected and I cannot see anyway to reconnect?

Have you tried right-clicking the butterfly icon on the lower-right corner of the kopete window?

Just tried that and get the following options:

online
be right back
away
out to lunch
on the phone
invisible
offline
properties

Nothing about signing on?

settings -> behaviour -> connect at startup

The 'online' option should connect you

settings -> behaviour -> connect at startup

That's the way to go if you wish to 'auto-connect' on startup

You can also add status/connection button to the toolbar with the usual 'configure toolbar' method

Yeah I tried the Online option but all that does is display another popup menu with various status messages but does not connect?

I have connecting at startup now so that will do me

Online>No Message should connect (You can set an online-message with it, too, that's why there is the message submenu)
