First of all, welcome. It's great to see new folks. It sounds like you have an incorrect burn. The iso you downloaded should be the -desktop version. Not the -alternate version.
Burning your disk is very important. Always burn an ISo as an Image file. Also burn your ISO's at your recorders slowest speed. By slowing down the burner you get far fewer coasters(bad CD's). When you get a good burn be sure to configure your machine to boot from the CD rom. Then follow this How-to. It will get you up and running in no time.

This page will show you how to check for and reduce errors when burning the ISO:

Actually, you can use either the Desktop or Alternate CD.

Here are some instructions with screenshots...

a lot of people tell me that i have to make the cd a bootable one
cause when i burned the ubuntu (not kubuntu) with nero as a image the computer will not boot the cd

also is it wise for me to have 2 OS'
          like windows xp and kubuntu

which burning-program do you guys use and have used for making bootable cd's?
please tell me and if possible give me a step to step instruction? or link?

You reboot with the CD inserted?

Boot order in bios is set to boot from CD first?
