    Changing the Default Boot

Hello, I'm new to kubuntu. I used to use SUSE. I don't know any coding or anything and prefer GUI interfaces. My main question is

How do I change the default boot from Kubuntu back to Windows?

Even though I like using linux, some other members of my family don't, and they use windows a lot more. They have a habit of turning on the computer and walking away for five minutes and kubuntu always boots. Again, how can I switch the default boot to windows?

    Thanks.

    Re: Changing the Default Boot

    open a terminal

    sudo cp /boot/grub/menu.lst /boot/grub/menu.lst.backup

    sudo kate /boot/grub/menu.lst

read the file carefully and set default to required number

      Re: Changing the Default Boot

Assuming you have three Kubuntu entries, one "Other Operating Systems" entry, and two XP entries (XP and the recovery console), the default should be set at 5.
Ubuntu 11.04, Kubuntu 11.04, and another TBD
