Unknown host

After installing LAMP for some reason I have to set my network configuration to Automatic:dhcp to access the internet.

I never had this problem back when I used breezy... Anyone got any ideas? (I really need to have Manual/Static IP )

This is probably way too naive, but Dapper comes with a very rudimentary /etc/network/interfaces file that includes only dhcp. However, you can certainly change the file permanently to a fixed IP address for eth?.
