3Dmovies appear as an image on 1/2 of the screen and its mirror on the other half?

Until recently, I was unable to load the appropriate drivers for my video card. I have now installed the proper driver and its dependencies but still 3D movies do not play properly.

After installing the drivers, I restarted the system, thinking that would help, without success. Has anyone experienced this problem and found a fix?

XFX R7850 DD 2GB DDR5 Video card, Kubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bit. 8-Core w/32GB DDR3 SDRAM. SSD.
