Certain incoming emails are a continuous annoyance, in Kmail how do I stop them?

I installed the bogofilter and thought it might provide a method to stop specific unwanted incoming emails.

I do not want things from Facebook or Ebay. Is there a filter method to have them deleted prior to downloading my incoming emails. I use and prefer Kmail for emails.
    Thanks!

Bogofilter is a mail filter that classifies mail as spam or ham (non-spam) by a statistical analysis of the message's header and content (body). The program is able to learn from the user's classifications and corrections.
Have you given it time to learn?

And have you followed the install similar to this?

Thanks for the advice. I did not give sufficient time. In fact I am still perfecting the configuration settings and have noticed improvement.

I love the power within Kmail. If I can get my mind to be able to absorb the available features, I am sure it will handle any future desired function. Kubuntu has made things so easy for us, sometimes I talk before I look, so-to-speak. You guys are so thoughtful to keep us weak thinkers in line.
