    how to update GTK

On a fresh 14.04.3 install, I just installed Pale Moon. Upon the first run, it had a message saying that my GTK version is out of date and that Pale Moon may experience crashes because of it.

So how do I update GTK? Thank you.
    I run Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.

You can't, really. iirc Pale moon is based on gtk2, which is really old to begin with, so the warning seems a bit odd. There has not been a new version of gtk2 in some years, outside of security and bug fixes, and the like. No new features or code, really.

What is the specific message you see?

^I'm afraid I didn't screenshot it, and it no longer appears.

Oh, well. Pale Moon was indeed crashing with noticable frequency.

      Back to firefox it is.
      I run Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.

All you need to do is change to a different theme for the gtk2 settings.
Raleigh and several others works just fine for me with Palemoon... it just does not like the default gtk2 that kubuntu uses.
