kubuntu 15.04 has gone crazy!

The initial install from CD was OK - BUT-the subsequent updates makes me wish I had stayed with 14.10!
I have a large & small monitors. They started out being independent, with the system on the large monitor. All of a sudden both are displaying the same content! Even Desktop Settings!
And the K Application menu (on both monitors) displaying cascading pop-up Menus!
Several of the menu items result in nothing being displayed - including the System Menu!!
I have yet to discover more problems, but at the moment I am seriously considering reverting to 14.10!

Is there any remedy for this stupid situation??

I had all sorts of issues with 15.04 but upgrading to the backports versions fixed all but a very minor one with an icon not updating. This post shows how.

What are you using for video drivers?
You may need to reset the displays layout with that instead of the system settings.
I had to do that recently even though I am not using 15.04
