kdepasswd not found

Result:unable to change user password - a program error occurred.
How can this be fixed?

I can't find the posts on this recently, but there may be a broken and extraneous user config module, or one has tried to reintroduce the older Kuser program into system settings.

As I mentioned in another post, look for the Account Details section



And in there, it will look like this:


try installing the missing kdepasswd package and see if it cures your problem
