    kubuntu 15..04 problems

    Using Kubuntu 15.04 CPU's 4, AMD A8-7650K Radeon R7, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G 64bit OS

    PROBLEM 1:
    file:///home/bumpy/home/bumpy/Pictures/Bumpy_Forum Questions/Forum Questions Sept/Sceenshot_1.png

    PROBLEM 2:
    file:///home/bumpy/home/bumpy/Pictures/Bumpy_Forum Questions/Forum Questions Sept/Screenshot_2.png

    PROBLEM 3:
    I am using Main Monitor 1920 x 1080 & secondary Monitor LG Flatron L1751S
    -the latter is powered on but screen is black.(Power Saving Mode) – Screen control control buttons not working except on/off.
    Note: When running previous kubuntu 14.10, it was working perfectly.
    In the above Display configuration, I can't find any reference to the LG monitor
    Would welcome suggestions on fixing these problems.

    PROBLEM 4:
    System Settings: Password & User Account:
    Change Password: > Error Message: Sorry --- System Settings ?
    “A program error occurred: the internal program 'kdepasswd' could not be found. You will not be able to change your password.”

    PROBLEM 5: Am trying to download 2 png files – on choosing each file in turn, I get this message for each one! Both ARE .png files, NOT BMP!
    The way 15.04 is working so far, i probably expect more problems.

    problems 1 & 2 cant see your screenshots like that !!

    if this is a fresh install you may get better prefomance if you ,,,,,,,,first do a
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
    then after that is done ,,,,,,enable the backports ,,,,,,,,,,,, http://www.kubuntu.org/news/plasma-5...-kubuntu-1504/
    and do that command once again

      Did you upgrade?

      For number 4:

      The normal place in Plasma 5 for user management is under Account Details >> User Manager.

      If you are trying to add/use the old kuser, the error message is telling you what is missing. Try installing that and see if it fixes the message.

        Am having the same problem today as yesterday - Muon keeps crashing partway in doing a full reinstall. Retried several times, but the problem persists! Any suggestions

            As you suggested: I ran sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
            then http://www.kubuntu.org/news/plasma-5...-kubuntu-1504/
            Followed by sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade.
            Muon began a major update, but after about 5 minutes, it crashed!
            I repeated sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade.
            After 1 minute it crashed again!!
            Tried 2 more times - same result!
            Attempted the same again this am - got the same result -

              Aaaa now I see the confusion ,,,,,,,muon is not "apt-get" ,,,,,,,,,,

              did apt-get "crash" or just give up with some error message

              your attachment is not working .

              if apt-get just gave up and error out you may still be ok ,,,,,just not updated to the backport stuff .

              we knead to see the error

                  so you are using muon then ??

                  what happend when you did it on the comand line with apt-get ?

                  you can not run the 2 together ,,,,,stop with muon and just use the comand line .
