    Seems like in the konsole, I could access Documents in Dolphin, Do the list thing, find the .txt file, cp the file, cd to /default, paste it in there, No? if so, show me how.

      Fact is, you go open Dolphin as root (kdesudo dolphin) and go right into /etc/default, right-click, Create new text file, name it grub, and copy the contents from some other place into it (some other place could be my post above or if you made a new text file in your Documents you could copy from that). Unless you'd like to type everything in from scratch

        Let me try. I'm assuming this isn't being done in konsole.

            I'm lost. I'm in terminal. I'm at /default and hit return. I right click. Several items but noting to create a new file. There is paste but I don't think you want me to paste all that stuff I just copied.

              There is an easier way. Exit the konsole (type exit and press enter). Then just start typing kdesudo kate and press enter. You will be asked for your password. Type it in and press enter. Kate will launch "as root". Create what you want and click on Save and navigate to /etc/default and name the file.

                Ok. Went to kate. A new window launched and I pasted all the text and save in Kate. I had to give it a file name to to save. Named it grub. Now go back in the terminal and ...?

                  OK, this is not as scary as it looks.

                  Code:
                  sudo nano grub
                  <enter your user password>
                  Press Shift + Insert to paste the code
                  Press Ctrl +O to save
                  Press Ctrl + X to exit
                  When you enter your password, it will look like nothing is happening.

                                Lost. Do I paste the new file "grub" to default or do I go in grub and paste the copied text? If I paste the file to default, the only way I know how copy it is outside of the terminal. I just open dolphin, go to documents and the file is sitting in there.
