How to load picture of self in login screen.

    How to load picture of self in login screen.

    I am running KDE 4.14.6 on Kubuntu 15.04, and in my login screen, just above the field for my password, there is a default image of a picture profile of somebody (nobody in particular) there in a square box. I am lead to think that what belongs in that box above the password field is an image of me, the session user. Is it possible to load a picture of self in this login screen box, so that it is a bit more customized to me, the user? If so, how do I go about doing this?

    You need a .face file somewhere. I don't remember where offhand. Unless you've changed the login manager it's SDDM.

      You can simply put a png image named username.face.icon into the default directory /usr/share/sddm/faces/...

        Hello again,

        I have put an icon image in my "faces" directory, an image that I am satisfied with putting on my login screen, as follows:

        So, how do I go about changing the default icon to the icon of me?

          I have my own face icon for sddm ,,but all I think I did was to drop a .face.icon in /home/vinny ,,,it's the same icon I use @hear on the forum renamed as stated .

            Vinny, 15.04 is the correct version of my Kubuntu distro. And, I followed your guidance, logged out, and there was my picture, right where I wanted it. Thank you!

                BTW ,,,if you go to ,,,system settings>Account details>Password and user Account , you can set the picture their as well and it will show in you Kickoff menu
