    Any ideas??
the left panel is showing /home/peter oem ,,,,,and is usually the one you want to keep and your user name should be one of the 2 "oem" or "peter" ,,,like

    Code:
     vinny@debian:~$ ls /
bin dev home lib live-build media opt root sbin sys usr vmlinuz
boot etc initrd.img lib64 lost+found mnt proc run srv tmp var

    vinny@debian:~$ ls /home
    vinny
the one on the right panel looks odd to me with Home/home/bumpy as the path........It's implying that you have a folder in your home named home with the folder bumpy in it that contains all those files ,,,,which is not the one that you would normally keep ( it's not your home directory ) .

what is your user name on this box ?

    VINNY
    i7 4core HT 8MB L3 2.9GHz
    16GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 860M 4GB RAM 1152 cuda cores

Am now having another try extrating my backed up files, but before doing that, I would prefer your expert opinion.

My first attempt this am was a disaster, backed up as Home/home/home/bumpy.
Have deleted all those files. Am now proposing to Root/home/bumpy.

What should I enter for Extraction into subfolder? bumpy?
      Anxiously await your reply!

Note the checkbox: "Preserve paths when extracting"

If you're extracting it into /home/bumpy, you'd want to uncheck that. Alternately, leave it checked and extract into / and it should follow the paths to /home/bumpy/

          Thanks for your quick reply!
Ark reports -cannot have / for extraction location.
Currently have extracted all files again.
Now ready to extract - Dolphin at Root/home/Bumpy.
What do I set "Extract to"
          home or Bumpy
          Will wait for your reply.
