I'm sure a lot of you Nvidia users have noticed that Kubuntu works for a little while, then freezes up after a bit of use. You can still move your mouse around the screen, but everything else is frozen. but you can't keep it working long enough to install the Nvidia drivers!
This is actually very easy to fix! At least, it worked great for me.
As soon as the login screen appears, hit Ctrl+Alt+F2 to drop to the Command Line Interface.
Login and Password as usual.
Then type "sudo apt-get install nvidia-346"
Wait for the download to complete, then type "sudo reboot"
When your computer reboots, login like normal. No more freezing up.
