How do I change Icons in Kubuntu 15.04?

By right-clicking the Kmenu Icon on the panel, I used to be able to reconfigure the application Icons in Kubuntu 14.10. The same application opens when I right-click the Kmenu Icon in Kubuntu 15.04. I am also able to select and supposedly change the Icon for applications like 'Dolphin'. I use the 'Bluefish' Icon which is easily recognized when I click the Kmenu Icon on the panel. I also modify others that I prefer different artwork.

When I followed the process in Kubuntu 15.04, the Icons did not change. I rebooted and even shutdown the distribution thinking that might set the changes. Not so. Has anyone figured this one out yet? Thanks for any advice.

    Hi,

I usually change the icons of specific applications which are displayed in the menu by going into /usr/share/applications as root, and find the program which icon I want to change, then right click on it, go to properties and select the icon want.

I've noticed you can't select Other icons and Browse to the ones you want to use.

For my desktop launchers I opened the .desktop file in Kate, and edited the Icon= line, pointing to the location of the icon I wanted to use.

Thanks for the interest and help guys, but I recently had some new problems with Kubuntu 15.04 that have to be fixed, even before I continue to work this problem. "Notes" widget images just blanket the screen, overlapping. I don't know if it is a Kubuntu bug because none others seem to be experiencing a similar problem, or the potential of a virus - Yuck, I hate to think of that as a possibility, because in my experience I have been virus free for about 20 yeares and don't want to lose the record. I am posting from my laptop, because my Desktop is screwed right now with the "Notes" problem, and the Desktop computer is where the 'changing icons' is, as well. Thanks!
