in the title, I mean SDDM, not KDM.
Anyway, after locking my screen, I saw something on the SDDM about starting a new "session." Out of curiosity, I clicked it. But then when I switched back to my original "session," the display had frozen. I could move the cursor, but nothing more, and the keyboard was unresponsive. So I switched to tty1 (which worked fine) and just ran sudo shutdown -h now.
But after that, after booting back into kubuntu, I can't log in anymore. After inputting my password, the screen goes blank and displays just one line of text: "starting version 219". Then it just returns me back to the SDDM screen. So I can't use the system at all. (In order to write this post, I booted into my openSUSE partition.)
Any help? Thanks!
