    No hdmi sound output

    Hi

Yesterday did a fresh install of kubuntu 15 with plasma 5.2. At first i saw a hdmi sound output in the sound settings. Great! But
it has completely dissapeared. No i only see an analog stereo output. Also i cant start alsamixer anymore.

I already purged all the alsa/pulseaudio en soundbase packages and reinstalled them. hdmi sound does not come back.

you need to move your hdmi to be the prefered device in system setting -> multimedia - > device preference.

Seems to be a widely-reported bug with the most recent Intel driver: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...1#post13291005
