Hello
I have a Kubuntu 15.04, on a laptop, and external usb keyboard. I have set in the settings (yes....) the num lock to be ON at startup, which works, no issue there. However, when I unplug the external keyboard and go away, the laptop keyboard is also in numlock state, changing iop,klm,etc.. in numbers and signs - and when loggging in, I cant really type my password - or I forget about it and start typing crazy stuff.
On the side, another issue creates confusion... I have installed kubuntu in english, with french keyboard. Works fine, except for the first login straight after booting. Time is displayed in AM/PM instead of 24hrs, & keyboard is en_US layout (which is not installed/removed from my laptop).
So, with these two issues, it gets tricky to log in !
Is there a way to handle this cleanly, or, if not, is there a way to catch the event external monitor plug / unplug so I run a shell script and alter the numlock state ?
Thanks for the help
