With the Bluetooth adapter in the enabled state, boot Kubuntu. Open two command prompts.

Type the following in the first one:
    Code:
    udevadm monitor
Type the following in the second:
    Code:
    tail -f /var/log/syslog
Now press the key combination that disables the wireless. Please copy/paste the output that appears in both windows into a reply here. This will give us an idea of what the system sees when you press the key combination.

You didn't run the commands in two separate console windows, it seems. The lines following "tail -f /var/log/syslog" in your output are actually the output of udevadm monitor. You need to run tail -f /var/log/syslog in a separate console window. That's what I meant when I wrote "open two command prompts." Sorry for not being clearer.
