LED indication for language switch, how to turn off?

i've recently installed Kubuntu 14.10 and i see theres a LED scroll lock indication on my keyboard when i switch to a second language (i have only 2), no matter if i switch it using mouse click over tray or alt+shift, it still indicates the language.
pretty annoying.
how do i turn that option off? i've searched google and i still can't even get if it's a native functionality or a bug.

p.s: i do have some experience with linux, not with KDE tho.

I'd first check the xkb settings:
SystemSettings>Keyboard&Input>Keyboard>Advanced-tab>"Use keyboard LED to show alternative layout"
