Note that there were packages that had not been upgraded - this possibly could be part of the problem.
running apt-get dist-upgrade or Muon update manager is helpful.

Note that it says that synaptic was installed. Perhaps the custom distro you are using does not properly update the menu system automatically, but synaptic should be there.

The errors you see:

these have to do with documentation files (that may be nonexistent or broken?), again whether this is an ubuntu/debian related bug, or one specific to your custom niche distro, i can't tell. I see some bug reports of similar errors, but not many, and no easy workaround from my brief glances. However, these errors should not affect anything outside of documentation.

Yes, synaptic did install and at least on more familiar territory . Tried to mark Kubuntu-desktop but says that i need to fix one broken package but which one ?

There`s definitely a problem with synaptic as i want to remove completely and then reinstall.

However, still get the `fix broken package`. I would really like to oblige in this but how ?

I remember years back , there was something in synaptic that auto fixed packages.

Is there a way to say - revert everything to default ?

I can tell you it was damn nightmare to change the language though.
