audio problem

I have three different sound cards on my computer, a USB card connected to a headset, a SBLive for my speakers, and then an Intel Integrated chip. For some reason Kubuntu has picked the Intel one as my default, the problem with that is it's not meant for sound which means that I get to hear nothing. Somehow I got amaroK to play music...but every other song the sound stops and only when i hit play does the sound come out again.

I know this might be hard for you guys to help me with seeing as its KDE, however any help would be great.
