I've said this before and actually did not heed my own advice in several instances!
The advice: if you are having problems with a piece of hardware not doing what the software is telling it to do........
Like for me......... currently, every few hours, "Kubuntu" loses the internet hookup.
Now........the wireless setup shows that the connexion is active, but......I can't get on the net.
So, after fiddling for a half hour I walked downstairs and reset the router and voila! I was on the net!
So........it is not Kubuntu........it is the hardware..........
We too often, myself included, have our blinders on staring at the monitor about something "not working"....
So...........if all else fails,,,,, break glass.......oh sorry........... check the hardware! and the connexions, and the fuses, etc.
