    quiestion about flash player

I've just installed flash player (as indicated in the 'useful tips for newbies' section). While installing, I received the following message:

Please ask your administrator to remove the xpti.dat from the
components directory of the Mozilla or Netscape browser.

Should I delete the file in order to make flash work fine? Since I have searched for the file and it appears in more than one folder, should I delete each of these files? Thanks.

Sorry for the belated reply. The message you got usually indicates a problem installing Flash. Try the install again. If that doesn't work, do not delete the file. In konqueror, go to your /home/maladict/.mozilla/firefox/<random>.default directory (where <random> is an arbitrary collection of letters and numbers set by Firefox when you installed it. Find the xpti.dat file. Rename the file to xpti.dat.bak. Now try to install the flash player again. If necessary rename the xpti.dat.bak file to xpti.dat.
