I am unable to play my DVD's and need help?

    Kubuntu 14.04

When I tried to play a DVD I own, Stargate SG1, it would not play. I have installed Kubuntu 14.04 since the libdvdcss2 was removed from Medibuntu, so I am wondering if that is my problem. If so, how do I play the movies I own and the ones I rent? I have not had a TV for about 10 years and do not want to buy one just to play a DVD.

In another post, I attempted to install dvd::rip and acidrip to see if I could rip to a USB to save my collection and was unable to figure out how to make those aps work, but they don't seem to work either. Does anyone have the workaround for this problem? Thanks!

I am sorry Vinny, I should be past that kind of mistake, I am not lazy. I guess the old-age is creeping up a little too much. The missing file was the libdvdread4 file. It works fine again. I apologize for the waste of your time.
