parts of the screen freeze and can't use apt-get...

Hello all :-)
Just finished to install kubuntu 5.10 (but the iso file called "kubuntu-6.10-install-amd64.iso" why?) downloaded from one of the mirors in the offical website.

1.parts of the screen are freezing and it's show me some colors,can't upload screen it's showed that some of de software is freezing,I can move to another software and after a few seconds it's also freezing.

2.can't use apt-get,getting some error about premmissions.
I think need to update sources(not sure) ...

Did you download the AMD64Bit version? What kind of computer do you have?

If you don't have a 64bit computer the type of iso you downloaded is probably the problem
