    vsync and screen tearing ATI/Nvidia

    hi,

    has anyone dealt with Ati/nvidia drivers and screen tearing?
    have Plex on my media servers connected to a large Sony Tv, seeing a fair bit of screen tearing on media playback. Ati 5570 1gb video card..
    also on my laptop, tearing with nvidia m8700

    Seems like only with default video drivers do I see it.
    Kubuntu 18.04 on AMD
