Kubuntu 14.04 installed yesterday. I want to remove the images circled in Red in the below image.
Normally the graphics on the panel on the top of the screen are hidden, however to show you what I see when visible, I fixed the default panel On Screen for the screen print.
The 'Power Management Monitor' on the upper left corner of the left monitor disrupts view of the Kmenu Icon and any opened application that would show there. It is immovable and cannot be hidden. It is a wonderful widget, but an irritation in my case. Has anyone figured out a way to remove it?
Additionally, I do not use the 'New Activities' feature and do not want to have the 'Symantic' or 'Show Desktop' icons on the panel either. In the past, they could be removed by right-clicking the Icon and selecting Remove. That feature does not appear in this distrubution. How do I remove them? Thanks!
