Problem saving nvidia settings and screen issue

I have 1 screen attached, yet there is screen X Screen 0 and My current screen. Is this normal? Also, no matter how hard I try, I can't save the powermizer settings to highest performance level. Upon restart/reboot, the nvidia-settings *forgets* my settings. I tried creating a xorg.conf via nvidia-xconfig then adding this under devices

Option "RegistryDwords" "PowerMizerEnable=0x1; PerfLevelSrc=0x3322;

I also tried saving nvidia-settings under Nvidia settings Configuration ->nvidia-settings.rc followed by sudo nvidia-settings --load-config-only


Yet I am still left with nothing. What to do?
