How do I determine the KDE version that I am using on a Kubuntu live DVD-R?

You can open Dolphin, Go to " Control -> Help -> About KDE, that will tell you.

First you have to boot the liveCD and select Try Kubuntu. Then open Dolphin and Help and KDE at the bottom of choices. It will tell you there.

Open any KDE program and select "About KDE" in the Help menu or open a terminal and type:

kded4 --version
