I fear that a bluetooth enabled device was inserted into my computer or something of that nature, if it is possible, for instance, I can hear clicking inside my computer (not anywhere near a hard drive ). Is that possible, for someone to insert a device to take over control? Some more info :
I have programs installed I did NOT install. Such as ubuntu-server and this might sound foolish, but when I log on, I have gkrellm, it states 2 users are active, when the computer starts up, 1 user pops up, I cannot do anything on the desktop until user #2 pops up. Someone changed my bios password a few days ago and I had to use the jumpers on my motherboard to clrcmos and EZflash my bios, my mobo allows such a feature. Also, here are some outputs which you guys might ask for (I have been trying to figure this out for ages.
              Code:

I just hope that if my suspicions are correct, this person/persons does not delete my account on here before I can get this sorted out if they have write/read/execute perms.

That sounds rather ominous, and also requires physical access to the machine.

For that reason alone, I'd recommend backing up your data and performing a reinstall (I'd also reflash the bios just to be sure).

This may be a family matter so access to machine is a high possibility

there's a few simple commands you can run:
w - see who is logged on and what they are doing
lastlog - list of last time logins for all users
                    last - last logged-in users, username/ip etc

i have to admit i think you're being paranoid

You can't really trust the output of those if you have been compromised, most attack kits would replace all these binaries with versions that would hide all suspicious output.

One more quick question, I have a few HDDs in my rig and I see a sr0 which I have no access to nor do I have any idea how it got there. I do have a Raid SATA III 6GB/s 4-port PCI-e Controller Card, Marvel 88SE9215 chipset card I hooked 3 drives to as I ran out of room on my mobo, would this be in any way correlated or did someone softraid my HDDs ! Just to give you an idea,
                          ralph@ralph-desktop:~$ sudo fdisk -l -u /dev/sdd

                          Disk /dev/sdd: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes
                          255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders, total 1953525168 sectors
                          Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
                          Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
                          I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
                          Disk identifier: 0x00020f4c

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
                          /dev/sdd1 2048 1953523711 976760832 83 Linux
Shouldn't it start at one, all my HDDs are like this with exception of 1 or 2 ext4 that looks like this
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
                          /dev/sdg1 1 3907029167 1953514583+ ee GPT

/dev/sr* are optical devices, commonly CDROM-drives (or similar)

Well I feel like a fool, also thank you for helping me, I am asking all the questions in this thread because I don't want to make 10 different threads, but what about *starting @ 1 vs starting @ 2048 sector, is that of any significance? I used gparted to create my partitions, rather convert them from NTFS.

I found this explanation, does this make sense?
Also, in my reading, I found a more complete explanation of the (what I had thought arbitrary) 2048 limit: GRUB2 has various stages of loading (I'm sure you know this, but for other folks trying to find answers that stumble upon this post, I am going to elucidate the process) - stage 1, along with the partition table, uses sectors 1-34; stage 1.5 (which finds stage 2) fills out 34-2048, so MBR automatically covers these sectors, but GPT does not: you can set the stage 1.5, or BIOS boot partition, in GPT.
Although the bios boot partition part worries me. Oi the paranoia.
