Will Libreoffice 4.3 come in the Kubuntu 14.04 repo or in a later Kubuntu release ?

I saw that there is a new release of LO.
Will it come in the 14.04 repos or only in one of the next Kubuntu releases ?

If it will come into the normal repos (any idea when) I'll better wait until then.
If we have to wait for Kubuntu 14.10 it then perhaps I'd install from here

    Hi
    Thanks for the post mbohets.

Just as a heads up for new users to Linux, this will require a distribution upgrade, if one has only a "daily use" system, one should think seriously about what "might" happen.

Here is a linky to a good overview of all of the steps, but again, a distribution upgrade is not to be taken lightly.

Again, mbohets.......thanks for the linky, I'm looking forward to the new version, althought I use Calligra exclusively, I do sometimes have use LO for file format compatibilty with the college which is going to Win 8.1 even as I type this.

Libreoffice 4.3 is installable in Kubuntu 14.04, and so far no problems.

Thanks for the replies, if LO4.3 will not become available in 14.04 via the normal update process I will certainly have a go at this.

But my question was if LO4.3 would become available via the normal 14.04 updates or not.
It it will become available in the normal way, I can wait a bit, so the special install is not necessary.
If it will not become available, I"ll do the ppa or deb install.

          Hi
just for grins and giggles, I backed up what little I had on the machine to a usb and then went through the dist. upgrade.

I, personally, it is just a thing, do part of it from console through to the actual installation of debs, and then go to the download folder and continue thence.

The very last thing that happened was that console listed a bunch of unmet dependencies.

So, I went to the menu and LO was not to be seen, which I had rather anticipated.

I then opened synaptic and the menu item for 4.2 was there, but not 4.3. I then installed LO with syanptic and got... 4.2.6.2 ! lol

          aaahhh wellll...

nothing tried nothing gained! but hey, it was worth a shot! lol

          thanks again!

4.3.0.4 is working fine for me here -- had it since it was released.
Have had no problems , all though some have reported problems with impress i've not notice them yet.
good Luck to all who try it.

Sorry to interrupt, but how do you get the "post title" bold? I tried by adding [B]"post title"[/] but that did not work for me.

I just tried with the instructions of http://www.noobslab.com/2014/08/libr...lable-for.html Danum proposed.

                    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-3
                    sudo apt-get update
After this muon updater popped up a notification that new updates were available.
I told it to go ahead an install updates, and it worked just fine.
