    Creating a new file.

I need to create a file, ( /etc/resolv.conf ) to get my internet account up and running. To do this I need Admin Authority.
I Know I need to use the command sudo, but where do I enter this?
I'm a complete Linux virgin so any reply to this will have to be in words of two syllables or less.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
    Geoff

    Re: Creating a new file.

Press Alt-F2 and type "kdesu kwrite /etc/resolv.conf". It will ask you for your password, enter it and press enter. KWrite will open up and then type what you need in the file and then save it!

Just don't use sudo for GUIs.

    Enjoy your Linux journey
